Mission to Moscow
i-conX will be joined by the cream of Ireland’s businesses on a remarkable Trade Mission to Russia later this year.
The four day event, organised by Enterprise Ireland, will be hosted by Trade Minister, Michael Ahern in the Irish Embassy in Moscow. It is expected to attract representatives from all of the main fixed and mobile Russian telcos at both a national and regional level.
As part of the mission, i-conX will be taking part in a software seminar focusing purely on the telecoms billing sector.
i-conX COO, Brendan Rogan, is excited by this prospect: “It gives us an opportunity to showcase our proven system and expertise to a major emerging market.
“Russia and the CIS, along with most Central and Eastern European countries, are now seeing full liberalisation of their telecom markets. Introduction of competition, with its associated regulatory structures, is driving the need for competitively priced solutions to complex interconnect billing requirements.
“What we’ll be stressing to operators at the event is that the implementation of a proven solution at an early stage in the liberalisation process will show a very quick return on any investment. After all, why run the risk of making the same extremely expensive mistakes made by operators in Western Europe over the last 20 years during the early stages of the introduction of interconnection agreements?”
