Meet us in Budapest : Interconnection 2007
i-conX has been announced as sponsor of this year’s IIR conference, “Interconnection 2007”, to be held in Budapest, 29th Jan – 1st Feb.
The conference is an annual event which brings together interconnect experts from around the world, to debate current and future trends in the industry.
Held at the Budapest West End Hilton, this year’s event will include presentations from operators and consultants alike. Acknowledged experts appearing this year include Gita Sorensen and Eric Tyson, plus operator representatives including Vodacom, Mobilkom Austria and Telekom Slovenije.
Balancing regulatory and commercial perspectives, this year the conference will attempt to address issues vital to the future of the sector including IP, NGN, mobile and converged business and charging strategies/models.
i-conX CEO Martin Browne is at the heart of the debate, and will deliver an expert presentation on day 2 looking into the effectiveness of different charging/costing models across both traditional and next generation environments.
“As ever, the future is taking shape in a fluid fashion, sometimes following anticipated models, and sometimes taking its own course”, explains Martin. “It has some resemblance with what we’re all doing already, and some differences”
“My presentation takes a long hard look at the various models available, and how they might work, but perhaps more crucially, what the impacts are likely to be for a telecom business”.
