i-conX’s MENA team was once again leading the field at the regional Billing conference “Billing Strategies ME (2006)”, held at JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai, November 19-22 2006.

The event is a new and timely addition to the telecoms conference circuit, offering a thematic focus on Billing and Revenue Assurance for regional operators seeking to share specific knowledge and mutual experiences.

“Once the headlines have faded, it’s the IT and billing experts within an operator’s staff who have to make it all work,” commented VP Marketing Gavin Stewart, “and this new conference gave a valuable forum for debate at a more topical level than the norm”.

Headlining the conference on the first morning was Mr. Jogesh Ajay, of UAE second operator du, who explained his methodologies for the selection and specification of an appropriate interconnect billing solution.

Jogesh also underlined how interconnect sits within the bigger picture for an ambitious business such as du, who recently signed an interconnect agreement with UAE incumbent Etisalat.
